THE ARTIST’S LIFE His name is sealed with his paintings, not said. His feeling is seen from his master piece, not heard. His ambition thrives through his work, not words. The artist’s life. Of course the artist’s life is primarily focused on making art, but he is telling a story as well, as he runs down his brush. There is no easy way to define Art, but in short let’s just say Art is a creative human skill to express feelings, emotion, ideas, beauty and many more. An artist’s life is quite different than what you have imagined it to be. As he isn’t just living for himself, yet for the unborn generations and ideas as well. Prioritizing art than his day job, family or any extra bandwidth side he is fully devoted in sketching his conceptual ideas into reality. Although imagination is the key for the drawing visual concept plays powerful role to drive these ideas into reality. He sees a face and tells a story. He reads expressions and narrates them into his plane paper in split seconds. An artist’s art is not just simply made by joining a pencil and paper. It’s born from months and years of vision. He spends most of his times somewhere where he can collect his minds and thoughts whether it might be at home, alone sitting by his window or in a crowded subway where you can hear a crying baby or a honking bus. Yep, as weird as it sounds an artist may get a spark from unexpected place in unexpected time. He then proceeds to shape and mold that spark into the story he creates in his mind. His story may go up to ages behind or even generations ahead as his creativity knows no limit. This is when the hardest decision comes for the artist on either choosing to ignore his story because society wouldn’t be so kind to accept his vision or to keep moving forward along with his stories no matter the judgments and comments he may face. Now that story is about to be written, no distraction is wanted, all his items are all gathered in one place to mark the start of a beautiful story that’s about to be told. He gets a hold of his pencil and starts with his sketch, the first step of his drawing. Not too long he picks up his brush, gets his paints ready and starts to journey to bring his vision to life. The first tries are always the toughest, it’s not that often that he gets it on the just the first try. Second, third, fourth…he keeps on going; he draws off all his agitation and frustration to get it exactly how he wanted. How the light falls of on to his painting, how he casts the shadows and how he collaborate the colors, it’s all precisely according to his vision. Doesn’t matter to him how much time he is spending or how many papers he is tearing or even how many paints is ruining his shirt and hands because he is resilient. He is patient and he irrepressible. The story is brought to life after several attempts; it is now in the form that stirs emotion in you. It’s an art. A masterpiece. The stirred emotions you are feeling from the story he tells comes from your personal experience, and because of this three different people can, experience the same piece of art and have wildly different reactions to it. One person might think it's the most beautiful thing they've ever seen, the second person might hate it and the third might not feel much of anything at all and none of them would be wrong. Everyone's entitled to their, own preferences and feelings when it comes to art. It is now sealed and framed in his studio. He looks at his work with pride and honor. His life’s work. His passion under one roof all collected. We walk through history together, as his pencil and brush leads the way. Looking in to the life of an artist gives us the opportunity to record history and tap into our emotions in a way that few other things can.
